Saints Drop Both Games of a Doubleheader with Trojans

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) - The Thomas More softball team was swept by Trevecca Nazarene in a doubleheader on Friday (April, 26th) by a score in game one of 7 to 2 and a 9 to 1 score in game two. The Saints fall to an overall record of 14-34 and a G-MAC record of 8-16.

How they scored
Game 1: TNU 7-2
  • Trevecca tallied 3 runs in the opening inning to take the early lead.
  • Trevecca added 4 runs in the 4th to make it 7 to 0.
  • Senior Delaney Kemper (Williamstown, KY / Williamstown) hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 4th to make it 7 to 1.
  • Delaney Kemper drove in another Saint with an RBI single in the 6th to make it a 7 to 2 game.
Game 2: TNU 9-1 (6 innings)
  • Kemper hit a sacrifice fly in the first inning to give the Saints a 1-0 lead.
  • Trevecca scored in the 2nd to tie it up at one a piece.
  • TNU took the lead in the 4th with a run.
  • TNU added to their lead with 3 in the 5th inning and 4 in the 6th to lead 9 to 1.
