Carle Claims G-MAC Single Season Caused Turnover Record in Victory Over Ursuline

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) – The Thomas More University women's lacrosse team defeated Ursuline College on Saturday (April, 20th) afternoon by a score of 25 to 0. Saints senior Madi Carle (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) broke the single season caused turnover record for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, surpassing the previous record of 47. Thomas More improves to an overall record of 3-13 on the season and 3-4 in G-MAC play.

  • First year Anna Wells (West Chester, OH / Lakota West) got the Saints started with a goal off an assist from first year Alex Nunn (Loveland, OH / Loveland).
  • Sophomore Rachel Blevins (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills) made it a 2-0 game with a goal.
  • First year Alexis Denman (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) tallied her first goal of the day on an assist from Madi Carle (3-0).
  • Sophomore Meg Pierani (Bright, IN / Mercy McAuley) tallied back to back goals with one being off an assist from sophomore Lexi Williams (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills) to make it 5 to 0.
  • Senior Dani Carle (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) scored her first goal of the season to extend the lead.
  • First year Alyssa Miller (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills) recorded an unassisted goal to make it 7 to 0.
  • Sophomore Kaylynn Mitchell (Fairfield, OH / Fairfield) scored her first career goal unassisted to make it 8 to 0.
  • Senior Mckenzie Mobley (Harrison, OH / Harrison) scored on a pass from Meg Pierani to add to the Saint lead.
  • Senior Alison Whitely (Adams County, OH / Fayetteville-Perry) scored her first career goal on an assist from Alex Nunn.
  • Anna Wells recorded back to back assists to open the second quarter on goals by Madi Carle and Lexi Williams (12-0).
  • Junior Eva Kinwel (Arnham, Netherlands / Beekdal Lyceum) tallied a goal on a free possession shot.
  • Anna Wells added a goal on an assist from Lexi Williams to make it 14-0.
  • Alex Nunn rounded out the first half with a goal to make it 15 to 0.
  • Alexis Denman opened the second half with a goal on a Lexi Williams assist.
  • Anna Wells scored another goal this time on an assist from Alyssa Miller, then assisted on a goal by sophomore Sarah Metz (Middletown, OH / Little Miami) to make it 18 to 0.
  • Eva Kinwell and Lexi Williams added back to back goals to extend the lead.
  • Meg Pierani added two more goals with one off an assist from Alex Nunn to make it a 22 to 0 game.
  • Mckenzie Mobley tallied two more goals with one off an assist from Anna Wells to make it 24 to 0.
  • Alyssa Miller added the final Saint goal to make it a 25 to 0 final.
 
  • Madi Carle recorded a goal, an assist, 4 caused turnovers, 4 ground balls and 7 draw controls in the game. She broke the G-MAC single season caused turnover record.
  • Meg Pierani tallied 4 goals on the day to go with an assist.
  • Anna Wells recorded 3 goals and 4 assists on the day for 7 total points.
  • First year goalie Kaylynn White (Fort Bragg, KY / Louisville Male) tallied 3 saves in the shutout performance.
