Saints Fall to Walsh on Saturday Afternoon

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) - The Thomas More men's lacrosse team fell to Walsh University on Saturday (April, 20th) afternoon by a score of 22 to 5. The Saints drop to an overall record of 1-10 on the season and 1-6 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.

• Walsh took an early lead with the first two goals of the game.
• First year Bryce Collins (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy) recorded the first Saint goal unassisted to make it 2 to 1.
• Walsh added 5 more goals to make it a 7 to 1 game.
• Senior Donahugh Simpson (Spanish Town, Jamaica / St. George's) scored his first goal of the game to make it a five goal game.
• After Walsh tallied two more goals, first year Aspen Cameron (Plain City, OH / Jonathon Alder) scored an unassisted goal to make it a 9 to 3 game.
• Walsh opened the second half with a goal to make it 10 to 3.
• Donahugh Simpson then scored his second goal of the day off an assist from sophomore Spencer Lethbridge (Cleveland, OH / Olmsted Falls).
• Walsh scored three more goals to extend their lead to 13 to 4.
• Bryce Collins adds his second goal of the day to make it 13 to 5.
• Walsh tallied 9 more goals to make it a 22 to 5 final.

• Donahugh Simpson recorded two goals and 3 ground balls on the day.
• Bryce Collins tallied 2 goals in the game.
• Sophomore goalie Trevor Almanza (Cincinnati, OH / Fairfield) tallied 15 saves on the day.

Men's lacrosse will return to action on Tuesday (April 23rd) when they travel to Tiffin for the season finale. That game is scheduled to start at 12:00 PM.
