Baseball Fights Back But Falls Short to UC Clermont in Mid-week Game

(BATAVIA, Ohio)-Thomas More University's baseball team fell to UC Clermont on Tuesday afternoon (April 9), 5-3. The Saints overall record falls to 10-23.

How they scored
  • Senior Gavin Pearson (Burlington, Ky./Conner) scored on a wild pitch in the top of the first inning to put the Saints on the board 1-0.
  • UC Clermont scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth and three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning (1-5).
  • In the top of the ninth inning, first year Sam Bond (St. Leon, Ind./East Central) singled to score first year Ty Cunningham (Fairfield, Ohio) and junior transfer Derek Marrinuci (Canton, Mich./Divine Child) (3-5).
