Panthers Sweep the Saints on the Road

(COLUMBUS, OH)-Thomas More University's softball team fell to RV Ohio Dominican on Monday afternoon (March 25), 5-0 in game one and 9-1 in game two in 6-innings. The Saints overall record falls to 5-21 and 0-6 in conference.


Game 1: ODU 5-0

• ODU scored three runs in the bottom of the first and two runs in the bottom of the third inning.

Game 2: ODU 9-1

• In the top of the first, junior Emma Kent (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin) singled up the middle to score Graduate student Hailey McAdoo (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) to make it a 1-0 game.
• ODU scored one run in the bottom of the fifth and eight runs in the bottom of the sixth inning (1-9).

Game 1:

• Hailey McAdoo went 1-3 at the plate with a double.
• Junior Josie Wefer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) was 1-2 with a double.
• Sophomore Sophia Thoma (Cleves, Ohio/Taylor) was 1-3 with a double.

Game 2:

• Hailey McAdoo was 2-2 at the plate and scored one run.
• Emma Kent went 2-3 with one RBI.

Game 1:

• Graduate student Annika Gels (Eaton, Ohio/Eaton) pitched 6.0 innings, allowing five earned runs off seven hits and struck out one.

Game 2:

• First year Kylie Ropp (Bellefontaine, Ohio/Kenton Ridge) pitched 5.0 innings, allowing eight runs with five earned off eight hits.
• First year Olivia Dumm (Williamsport, Ohio/Westfall) pitched 0.2 innings, allowing one earned run off two hits.

The Saints open at home tomorroe against #6 UIndy in a double header beginning at 1:00 pm ET.
