Men's Basketball Battle in Overtime Win Over Tiffin

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team defeated Tiffin on Saturday afternoon (Feb 3), 76-72. The Saints overall record improve to 13-9 and 8-6 in conference.

• Junior Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) banged in a 3-point shot to get things started for the Saints and tie things up at 3-3 with 19:18 to play in the half.
• With 15:45 to play, first year Nathan Dudukovich (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) hit a 3-point basket to put the Saints up 12-8.
• First year Carson Browne (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) made a jump shot to for the Saints final basket of their 9-0 over the Dragons with 9:49 in the half (23-16).
• Junior Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, Ky./St. Henry) banged in a 3-pointer to extend the Saints lead to 29-22 with 5:36 on the clock.
• Graduate student Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) made a jumper as time ran out in the first half to give the Saints a 38-32 lead going into the locker room at the half.
• Reid Jolly led with 13 points and had two rebounds and an assist.
• Junior Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) led with three assists and had two rebounds and two points in the first half.
• Jacob Jones led with three rebounds and had 12 points and two assists.
• Junior Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) and Carson Browne also both tallied three rebounds to lead the team.
• The Saints were 53.6% (15-28) from the field, 55.6% (5-9) from the 3-point line, and 100% (3-3) from the free throw line in the first half.

• Jacob Jones laid in a basket for the Saints first basket of the second half with 18:58 on the clock to make it a 40-34 game.
• Carson Browne drove to the rim for layup to help the Saints regain the lead with 13:21 to play (46-44).
• With 8:01 to play, Kyle Ross made a layup to put the Saints up by six (55-49).
• Nathan Dudukovich made 2-3 free throws with five seconds left in regulation to tie the game up at 64-64.
• Nathan Dudukovich led the team with 11 points in the second half and had one rebound and one assist.
• Reid Jolly tallied five rebounds to lead the Saints and had four points and one assist.
• Casey George recorded three assists in the second half to lead and had three points and one rebound.
• The Saints were 38.5% (10-26) from the field, 11.1% (1-9) from the 3-point line, and 71.4% (5-7) from the free throw line in the second half.

• Wyatt Vieth made a layup in the paint first the first basket in overtime with 4:27 on the clock (66-64).
• With 44 seconds left in overtime, Kyle Ross drove in for a layup to extend the Saints lead to 72-69.
• Reid Jolly would secure the win over the Dragons knocking in two free throws with six seconds left (75-69).
• The Saints would defeat Tiffin 76-72.
• Wyatt Vieth and Kyle Ross would both record four points and two rebounds each in overtime for the team high.
• The Saints shot 40% (2-5) from the field and 100% (8-8) from the free throw line in overtime.

• Reid Jolly led the team with 19 points and eight rebounds and had three assists.
• Kyle Ross also tallied eight rebounds to lead the team and had eight points and three assists.
• Wyatt Vieth brought down eight rebounds as well to lead the Saints and had nine points.
• Casey George had six assists to lead the team and had five points and three rebounds.
• Nathan Dudukovich put up 17 points with two rebounds and one assist.
• Jacob Jones had 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
• The Saints were 45.8% (27-59) from the field, 33.3% (6-18) from the 3-point line, and 88.9% (16-18) from the free throw line.

The Saints return to action on Saturday (Feb 10) against Trevecca Nazarene at 2:00 pm ET in Nashville, Tenn.
