Saints Storm Back to Top Trevecca Nazarene on the Road

(NASHVILLE, TN)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team defeated Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday afternoon (Feb 10), 75-68. The Saints overall record improves to 14-9 and 9-6 in conference play.

• Junior Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) got the Saints on the scoreboard with a layup to tie us up at 2.
• With 15:47 to go, graduate student Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) knocked down back to back buckets to keep the Saints within three (6-9).
• First year Nathan Dudukovich (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) ended a Trojan scoring run with a bucket in the paint with 11:21 left in the half (10-25).
• Junior Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, Ky./St. Henry) knocked down a three pointer to pull the Saints within 11 (14-25).
• Nathan Dudukovich rattled home a three pointer in transition with 6:49 to go to make it a single digit game (19-28).
• A Wyatt Vieth bucket and a pair of free throws from Nathan Dudukovich pulled the Saints within five (28-33).
• Trevecca would extend the lead to 13 heading into the half, 41 to 28.
• Thomas More shot 10-30 (33.3%) from the field and 2-14 (14.3%) from the three point line for the half.
• Reid Jolly and Nathan Dudukovich led the Saints with 8 points each in the half. 
• Sophomore Mitchell Rylee (Fort Mitchell, KY / Covington Catholic) led the Saints in rebounds with four.

• Nathan Dudukovich got the Saints started in the second half with a three pointer off an assist from Reid Jolly (31-43).
• Mitchell Rylee gets it back to a ten point ball game with a basket with 17:50 to go in the game.
• Dudukovich hits his second three of the half with 15:55 to go to make it a 38 to 51 game.
• Mitchell Rylee finds Wyatt Vieth for a layup to cut the Trojan lead back to single digits with 13:37 to go (44-53).
• Nathan Dudukovich drills his third three pointer of the half off another Jolly assist to make it a six point game (49-55).
• Redshirt junior Eli Howard (Newport, KY / Newport Central Catholic) brings Thomas More within three with a three pointer with 10:16 to go.
• On the next possession Casey George makes a layup to bring it to a one point ball game (54-55).
• With 8:26 to go, Mitchell Rylee scores a bucket to give Thomas More the lead (58-57).
• Eli Howard hits his second three pointer of the game to put Thomas More up two.
• With 4:05 to go, Howard drills another three pointer off an assist from Casey George to put the Saints up five.
• Reid Jolly gets a bucket in the paint with 1:27 to go to make it a 70 to 63 ball game.
• Saints make free throws down the stretch to win by a score of 75 to 68.
• Thomas More shot 19-31 (61.3%) and 6-14 (42.9%) from the three point line for the half.
• Nathan Dudukovich led the Saints in the second half with 13 points.
• Eli Howard scored 11 second half points off the bench for the Saints.

• Nathan Dudukovich scored a game high 21 points. He knocked down 4 three pointers and recorded 4 rebounds.
• Reid Jolly scored 16 points for the Saints to go along with a team high 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
• Eli Howard shot perfect off the bench which included 3 three pointers for 11 total points.
