Maggie Jones Makes Six Three Pointers as Saints Drop Trevecca Nazarene

Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY)-Thomas More University women's basketball team defeated Trevecca Nazarene on Thursday (Feb. 29) evening by a score of 77 to 61. Thomas More improves to an overall record of 16-10 and 12-7 in G-MAC play.

• Sophomore Rylee Turner (Newport, KY / Newport Central Catholic) drained a three pointer to open the game for the Saints off an assist from senior Rachel Martin (Cincinnati, OH / Summit Country Day) (3-2).
• With 4:59 to go in the opening quarter senior Alex Smith (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) hits a three pointer then first year Rylee Leonard (Sardinia, OH / Eastern Brown) makes a driving layup to put the Saints in front by 4 (10-6).
• Rylee Leonard knocks down a three pointer off an assist from first year Desiree Tandy (Danville, KY / Danville High School) to make it a five point lead.
• At the end of the first quarter Thomas More led 15 to 13.
• A Rylee Turner layup opened the second quarter for the Saints (17-13).
