James Kendrick Scores Twice as Saints Fall at Lewis

(ROMEOVILLE, IL) - The Thomas More men's lacrosse team fell to Lewis University on the road on Saturday (Feb 24) morning by a score of 27 to 3. Thomas More drops to an overall record of 0-2 on the season.

How they scored

  • Sophomore James Kendrick (Springboro, OH / Springboro) scored his first career goal with 9:58 to go in the opening quarter to give the Saints a lead (1-0).
  • Lewis scored three straight to lead after the first 3 to 1. 
  • Lewis scored 14 in a row in the second quarter to lead 17 to 1 at the half.
  • Lewis opened the third with three more goals to make it a 20-1 game.
  • James Kendrick would find the back of the net for the second time off an assist from first year Bryce Collins (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy) (2-20).
  • After another Lewis goal, sophomore Spencer Lethbridge (Cleveland, OH / Olmsted Falls) scored for the Saints (3-21).
  • Lewis scores six more goals to make the final score 27 to 3.

Men's lacrosse will return to action on Saturday (March 2nd) when they travel to Rome, GA to take on Shorter. That game is set to begin at 1:00 PM.
