Saints Drop to #13 UIndy on Friday

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) – The Thomas More University women's lacrosse lost to #13 Indianapolis on Friday evening (Feb. 23rd) by a score of 26 to 4. Thomas More drops to an overall record of 0-3 on the season. 

• UIndy opened the game with 5 goals to take an early lead (0-5).
• First year Alexis Denman (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) got the Saints on the scoreboard with a goal off an assist from junior Eva Kinwel (1-5).
• UIndy scored four more goals to extend their lead into the second quarter (1-9).
• First year Alex Nunn (Loveland, OH / Loveland) finds the back of the net off an assist from senior Mckenzie Mobley (Harrison, OH / Harrison) (2-9).
• UIndy scored 7 goals throughout the rest of the second and into the third quarter (2-16).
• Alex Nunn scored her second goal of the game mid way thru the third quarter (3-16).
• Four more UIndy goals make the score 20 to 3.
• Mckenzie Mobley scores off an assist from first year Anna Wells (West Chester, OH / Lakota West) at the end of the third (4-20).
• UIndy scored six goals in the final quarter to make it a 26 to 4 final.

 

• Alex Nunn led the Saints with 2 goals on the day to go with a ground ball and a draw control.
• Mckenzie Mobley recorded a goal and an assist in the game.
• Anna Wells tallied 5 draw controls along with an assist and 2 ground balls.

 

The Saints will return to action on Sunday (Feb 25) when they travel to Tusculum, TN to take on Tusculum. That match is set to begin at 1:00 PM.
