Baseball Falls in Season Opening Heartbreaker

(FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA)-Thomas More University's baseball team fell to Emmanuel on Friday afternoon (Feb 16), 7-5. The Saints overall record falls to 0-1

How they scored
  • Sophomore Ben Duncan (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Bradley) singled to 2nd in the top of the second to send in sophomore Jeremy Ward (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) to put the Saints on the board 1-0. Junior AJ Enginger (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin) drove the ball up the middle for an RBI single to score Ben Duncan and extend the lead to 2-0.
  • In the top of the third inning, Ben Duncan would single to left field for another RBI single to score sophomore Gunner Kalkhoff (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle) (3-0).
  • First year Sam Bond (St. Leon, Ind./East Central) hit a single to the pitcher to send in junior Gavin Vogelgesang (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) to put the Saints up 4-0.
