Baseball Drops Game Two of Weekend Series to Emmanuel

(FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA)-Thomas More University's baseball team fell to Emmanuel on Saturday afternoon (Feb 17), 29-1. The Saints overall record falls to 0-2

• Emmanuel opened the game with 6 runs in the first inning to take the lead.
• Emmanuel scored another 6 runs in the second inning to make it 12 to 0.
• In the top of the 3rd, sophomore Gunner Kalkhoff (Cincinnati, OH / LaSalle) walked to bring home sophomore Riley Poston (Lancaster, OH / Lancaster).
• Emmanuel would go on to score 17 more runs across the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th innings.

• Gunner Kalkhoff recorded a hit, RBI, and a walk for the Saints.
• Junior Tucker Gray (Williamston, KY / Williamstown), sophomore Jeremy Ward (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) and junior Ben Duncan (Hilliard, OH / Hilliard Bradley) all recorded a hit for the Saints.

• Junior Jackson Grimmelsman (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) got the start for the Saints. He went 1.0 innings and allowed 6 earned runs.
• Sophomore Kellen Sandhas (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) pitched 0.2 innings and struck out 2 while allowing 6 runs.
• Sophomore Ian Bierbaum (Cincinnati, OH / LaSalle) recorded 2 strikeouts in 1.1 innings of work with no earned runs.
• Sophomore Tony Spangler (Springboro, OH / Springboro) gave up 6 runs in 0.2 innings of work with one strike out.
• First year Nolan Krekeler (Loveland, OH / Moeller) recorded three punch outs in 1.1 innings of work and allowed 2 runs.
• First year Brennan Green (Cincinnati, OH / Colerain) gave up 4 runs over 0.1 innings of work.
• Sophomore Cody Watkins (Cincinnati, OH / Lakota East) pitched 1.2 innings and struck out two while allowing 1 run.
• Sophomore Jack Rutz (Cincinnati, OH / LaSalle) pitched 1.0 innings and allowed 4 runs while striking out 1.
