Men's Basketball Storm Past Findlay

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team defeated Findlay on Thursday evening (Feb 15), 84-65. The Saints overall record improves to 15-9 and 10-6 in conference.
First Half
  • Red shirt junior Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) kicked off the scoring for the Saints and their 7-0 run in the first half by draining a 3-point basket with 19:05 on the clock.
  • With 15:01 to play in the first half, sophomore Mitchell Rylee (Ft. Mitchell, Ky./Covington Catholic) would drive to the rim for a layup for the Saints final basket of their 8-0 and extend their lead to 15-3.
  • First year Nathan Dudukovich (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) banged in a 3-point basket to put the Saints up by 15 with 11:10 to play in the first half (25-10).
  • Junior Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) hit a 3-point shot to make it a 40-19 game with 3:54 on the clock.
  • Mitchell Rylee would drive in for a dunk to end the scoring for the first half with 1:07 to play and give the Saints a 44-22 lead going into the locker room at the half.
  • Mitchell Rylee led the team in the first half with 10 points and had five rebounds and one assist.
  • Casey George led the team with seven rebounds and three assists and had seven points.
  • Graduate student Reid Jolly (Alexandria, KY./Campbell County) also led the team with three assists and had six points and two rebounds.
  • Jacob Jones tallied eight points, four rebounds, and one assist.
  • The Saints were 48.6% (18-38) from the field, 53.8% (7-13) from the 3-point line, and 50% (1-2) from the free throw line in the first half.
Second Half
  • Reid Jolly hit a jump shot to kick off the scoring for the Saints in the second half with 18:43 to play (46-25).
  • Jacob Jones made a jumper to make it a 53-34 game with 14:58 on the clock.
  • Nathan Dudukovich drove to the basket for a layup with 9:00 to play to put the Saints up 73-45.
  • With 2:53 to play, Mitchell Rylee made a layup to put the Saints up by 26 (83-57).
  • Sophomore Kiernan Geraci (Independence, Ky./Dixie Heights) knocked in one free throw for the Saints final point of the game (83-57) with 1:04 to play.
  • The Saints defeated the Oilers 84-65.
  • Five players all tallied six points in the second half to lead the way for the Saints (Reid Jolly, Jacob Jones, Casey George, junior Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, Ky./St. Henry), and first year Carson Browne (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder).
  • Mitchell Rylee and Carson Browne both recorded four rebounds each to lead the team in the second half defensively.
  • Casey George had four assists for a team high in the second half.
  • The Saints were 48.3% (14-29) from the field, 50% (6-12) from the 3-point line, and 75% (6-8) from the free throw line i the second half

  • Mitchell Rylee recorded a career high of 15 points and nine rebounds to lead the way for the Saints and had one assist.
