Women's Basketball Comes up Short to Ursuline

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's basketball team fell to Ursuline on Saturday afternoon (December 7), 64-57. The Saints overall record falls to 3-5 and 1-1 in conference.

First Half
  • First year Anna Drakeford (Harrodsburg, Ky./ Mercer County) knocked in two free throws start the scoring off for the Saints with 7:27 on the clock (2-2).
  • Senior Callie Hunt (Trenton, Ohio/ Edgewood) drained a 3-point basket with 3:24 to play in the first quarter to put the Saints up 7-6.
  • Junior transfer Sereniti Webb (Covington, Ky./ Simon Kenton) made a 3-point shot for the Saints final basket of the quarter with 34 seconds on the clock.
  • The Saints trailed 13-10 at the end of the 1st quarter.
  • Sophomore Laney Baker (West Harrison, Ohio/East Central) made a layup for the first basket of the second quarter with 9:48 to play (12-13).
  • With 5:56 to play in the second quarter, Sereniti Webb made a layup and one to make it a three point game (20-23).
  • Junior Alaina Keeney (Wheelersburg, Ohio/Wheelersburg) hit a shot from behind the arch for the Saints final basket of the half to put the Saints up 30-24).
