Men's Basketball Falls to UIndy

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team fell to UIndy on Wednesday evening (December 11), 73-69. The Saints overall record falls to 5-3.

• Senior Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) kicked things off with 19:09 on the clock to put the Saints on the board 2-0.
• With 16:29 to play in the half, redshirt first year Jack McCune (Paducah, Ky./McCracken County) knocked in two free throws to tie things up at 8-8.
• Redshirt first year Zion Crowe (Springfield, Ohio/Shawnee) drained a 3-point basket with 9:00 to play in the half to make it a 20-23 game.
• Senior Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, Ky./St. Henry) made two free throw for the Saints final points of the half with 1:17 on the clock (33-34).
• The Saints trailed 38-33 going into the locker room at the half.
• Jack McCune led the Saints with 11 points in the first half and had one rebound and two steals.
• Redshirt first year Kai Simpson (Lexington, Ky./Fredrick Douglass) led with two assists and had seven points and two rebounds.
• Casey George tallied five rebounds for a team high and had four points and one assist.
• The Saints were 38.5% (10-26) from the field 26.7% (4-15) from the 3-point line, and 69.2% (9-13) from the free throw line in the first half.

• Casey George hit a 3-point jump shot with 19:24 to play to make it a three point game (36-39).
• Jack McCune made a jump shot outside the paint to put the Saints ahead 53-53 with 14:12 to play.
• With 7:35 to play, Casey George made a tip-in layup to put the Saints within seven (58-65).
• Mitchell Rylee drove in for a layup with 3:06 to play to make it a two point game (67-69).
• The Saints would fall 73-69 to the Greyhounds.
• Casey George led with 14 points and had three rebounds and three assists.
• Jack McCune had a team high of four rebounds and had 13 points in the second half.
• Zion Crowe also tallied four rebounds and had five points.
• Mitchell Rylee recorded four assists to lead the team and had four points and three rebounds.
• The Saints were 48.3% (14-29) from the field, 41.7% (5-12) from the 3-point line, and 60% (3-5) from the free throw line in the second half.

• Jack McCune led the Saints with 24 points and had five rebounds.
• Casey George recorded eight rebounds and four assists to lead the team and had 18 points.
• Mitchell Rylee had four assists to lead the Saints and had seven points and four rebounds.
• Zion Crowe had eight points, five rebounds, and one assist.
• The Saints were 43.6% (24-55) from the field, 33.3% (9-27) from the 3-point line, and 66.7% (12-18) from the free throw line.
