(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) – The Thomas More University football team took on the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers on Saturday (November, 9th) afternoon. The Saints defeated the Panthers by a score of 47 to 12 to hold on to the Bourbon Barrel trophy for another year. The Saints move to 4-6 overall on the season and 3-5 in G-MAC play.

- Thomas More struck first with 9:39 to go in the quarter with a redshirt freshman Griffin Scalf (Cincinnati, OH / Anderson) touchdown pass to junior tight end Mike Kirch (Cincinnati, OH / Elder). The junior Luke Iden (Taylor Mill, KY / Scott) PAT made it 7 to 0.
- KWC got on the scoreboard at the end of the quarter with a 20 yard touchdown pass. The PAT was blocked by senior Joel Graves (Detroit, MI / Cass Technical) to keep it at 7 to 6.

- Redshirt junior Jaden Hall (Springfield, OH / Shawnee) found the endzone on a 5 yard run with 12:12 to go in the half. The Iden PAT made it a 14 to 6 game.
- With 5:08 to go in the half, Scalf would connect with senior Freddie Johnson (Cincinnati, OH / Colerain) for a 68 yard touchdown. The PAT from Iden made it a 21 to 6 lead for the Saints.
- Thomas More would put together a nice drive, capped by a Jaden Hall five yard touchdown run with 1:11 to go. The Iden PAT made it 28 to 6.
- With no time left on the clock, Thomas More would punch in another touchdown thanks to a sophomore Eli White (Greensboro, NC / Cooper) one yard run. The Iden PAT made it a 35 to 6 halftime score.
- With 6:00 to go in the third, Mike Kirch found the end zone for the second time today, this time on a 6 yard catch from graduate quarterback Rae'von Vaden (Louisville, KY / Marian C. Moore). The PAT was no good, making it a 41 to 6 game.

- Jaden Hall opened the final quarter with his third touchdown of the day. This time on a 3 yard run. The PAT was no good, making the score 47 to 6.
- KWC tallied a touchdown with 1:52 to go on a 27 yard pass. The two point conversion was no good, and the final score was 47 to 12 Saints.

- Jaden Hall led the Saints ground attack with 117 yards and three touchdowns.
- Freddie Johnson racked up 121 yards on three catches and a touchdown in the game.
- Mike Kirch recorded two touchdowns on 4 catches in the contest.
- Griffin Scalf tallied 200 yards passing as he completed 9 of his 10 pass attempts.
- Graduate Kolton Reeves (Paducah, KY / McCracken County) recorded 6 tackles in the game, along with 2 pass breakups.

The football team will return to action on Saturday (November, 16th) when they travel to Painesville, OH to take on the Lake Erie College Storm. Kick-off is set for 1:00 PM.
