Women’s Volleyball Drops to Northwood on the Road

(Midland, MI) - The Thomas More women's volleyball team faced off against Northwood University on Friday (October 4) for a conference match.  Northwood defeated the Saints in three sets as the Saints move on to be 4-2 in conference and 9-6 overall.

Northwood defeated Thomas More, 3-0.

• Northwood won the opening set 25 to 18.
• Northwood won the second set 25 to 21.
• Northwood won the third set 25 to 17.

• Junior Emily Acito (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy McAuley) led the Saints in kills with 8.
• Freshman Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) led the Saints in assists with 12.
• Junior Matilde Giamberini (Gornate Olona, Italy/Liceo Curie) led in blocks with 6.
• Senior Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy/Barletti Ovada) led the match in digs with 14.
• Senior Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy/Barletti Ovada), Senior Sam McClanahan (Georgtwon, KY/Scott County), and Senior Ruthie Neu (Greenwood, IN/Roncalli) all led in service aces with 1 each.

• The Thomas More women's volleyball team returns to play on Saturday (October 5) against Hillsdale College at Hillsdale College.  The match is set for 1:00 PM.
