Men's Basketball Falls to Ashland on Saturday Afternoon

(ASHLAND, OH)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team fell to Ashland on Saturday afternoon (Jan 27), 79-74. The Saints overall record falls to 12-9 and 7-6 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

• Junior Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) got the scoring started for the Saints with a layup off an assist from junior Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) to tie the game (2-2).
• Graduate student Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) gave the Saints their first lead with a three pointer with 18:03 to go in the half (5-4).
• After a back and forth stretch, Kyle Ross retakes the lead for the Saints with a three pointer with 15:46 on the clock (12-11).
• First year Nathan Dudukovich (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) hits back to back threes to give Thomas More a three point lead (18-15).
• A three pointer from junior Casey George (Pickerington, OH / Pickerington North) and a jumper from Nathan Dudukovich extend the Saint lead to ten (25-15).
• With 10:41 to go, first year Carson Browne (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) knocks down a three pointer (28-19).
• Reid Jolly knocks down a triple to push the lead to twelve for the Saints (33-21).
• Nathan Dudukovich ends an Eagle run with a jumper in the closing seconds of the half (37-41).
• Thomas More trailed at the half by 6, 43 to 37.
• Thomas More shot 14-30 (46.7%) from the field and 7-16 (43.8%) from the three point line.
• Nathan Dudukovich led the Saints with 12 points in the half.

• A pair of free throws by Jacob Jones got the Saints started in the second half (39-43).
• With 13:37 to go, Jacob Jones sparks a Saint run with a basket (43-55).
• Casey George and Jacob Jones knock down jumpers to pull Thomas More within eight (47-55).
• Nathan Dudukovich drills three three-pointers on consecutive Saint possessions to make it a five point game (56-61).
• Reid Jolly follows with a three pointer to make it a four point game for the Saints (59-63).
• With 3:41 to go Casey George makes a layup to keep it at a seven point game (64-71).

• Nathan Dudukovich led the Saints with a career high 24 points, which included six three pointers in 39 minutes of action. 
• Reid Jolly finished the game with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
• Casey George recorded a team high 7 rebounds to go with 14 points.
