Women's Basketball Drops to Hillsdale on Saturday Afternoon

Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY)-Thomas More University women's basketball team fell to Hillsdale College on Saturday (Jan. 13) afternoon by a score of 69 to 60. Thomas More falls to an overall record of 10-6 on the season and a Great Midwest Athletic Conference record of 6-3.

• First Year Rylee Leonard (Sardinia, OH / Eastern Brown) knocked down a three pointer to get the Saints on the scoreboard (3-4).
• Sophomore Rylee Turner (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) makes a layup to get it back to a two point ball game (5-7).
• Rylee Leonard finds Rylee Turner for a three pointer to give Thomas More the lead with 3:45 to go in the opening quarter (8-7).
• Senior Mattison Vickers (Covington, Ky./Simon Kenton) makes a driving layup off an assist from Rylee Turner (10-11).
• Senior Alex Smith (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) gets the first points of the second quarter for the Saints (12-20).
• Smith follows that with a three pointer to cut the Hillsdale lead to 5 (15-20).
• A Rylee Turner three pointer makes it a 2 point game with 5:26 to go in the half (18-20).
• First Year Morgan Hunt (Hollansburg, OH / Tri-Village) drains a three pointer off an assist from Rylee Turner with 2:09 to go in the half (23-30).

• Alex Smith led the Saints with 15 points in the contest to go with 6 rebounds, 2 assists and a blocked shot.
