Men's Basketball Drops Home Game Against Hillsdale

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team fell to Hillsdale on Saturday (Jan 13), 73-65. The Saints overall record falls to 10-7 and 5-4 in conference. 

• First year Carson Browne (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) kicked off the scoring for the Saints with 19:40 on the clock by knocking in one free throw to put the team on the board 1-0.
• With 14:54 to play in the first half, junior Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) drove in for a layup to make it a 10-6 game. 
• Junior Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) made a layup with 7:13 to put the Saints down by one (22-23).
• First year Nathan Dudukovich (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) banged in a 3-point basket as time expired in the first half to give the Saints a 40-33 lead going into the locker room at the half.
• Nathan Dudukovich would lead the Saints in the first half with 12 points and had two rebounds.
• Carson Browne led with three rebounds and had six points and one assist.
• Casey George also led with three rebounds and had eight points and one assist.
• Senior Jalen Scott (Hebron, Ky./Conner) led in the first half with four assists.
• The Saints were 57.1% (16-28) from the field, 54.5% (6-11) from the 3-point line, and 50% (2-4) from the free throw line in the first half.

• Casey George made a layup with 18:18 for the Saints first basket of the second half to make it a 42-37 game.
• Junior Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) drove in for a layup to put the Saints within two with 14:27 to play in the game (46-48).
• With 7:22 to play in the game, Jacob Jones made a layup basket to make the score 58-60.
• Casey George would make a 3-point shot with 12 seconds to play for the Saints final basket of the game (65-72).
• The Saints would fall 73-65.
• The Saints were 35.71% (10-28) from the field, 25% (3-12) from the 3-point line, and 100% (2-2) from the free throw line in the first half.

• Casey George led the Saints with 18 points and had four rebounds and two assists.
• Nathan Dudukovich tallied 12 points and three rebounds. 
• Jacob Jones led the team with five rebounds and had 11 points and two assists.
• Jalen Scott recorded four assists to lead the team.
• The Sainst were 46.4% (26-56) from the field, 39.1% (9-23) from the 3-point line, and 66.7% (4-6) from the free throw line.

The Saints return to action on Thursday (Jan 18) against Malone in the Connor Convocation Center at 7:00 P.M. ET.
