Men's Volleyball Sweeps Kentucky State in Home Opener

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) – The Thomas More men's volleyball face off with Kentucky State on Thursday night (Jan. 11) in their home opener. The Saints knocked off Kentucky State in straight sets to move to 2-3 overall on the season.

 

Thomas More defeats Kentucky State, 3-0.

• Thomas More took the opening set by a score of 25 to 21.
• The Saints took set two by a score of 25 to 16.
• Thomas More took set three and the match by a score of 25 to 17.

 

• Sophomore Dominic Rossi (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler) led the Saints offense with a team high 9 kills in the match on 12 attempts. He also recorded 2 digs. 
• Sophomore Braden Hicks (Kettering, OH / Kettering Fairmont) tallied 8 kills in the victory to go with 2 service aces and 2 digs.
• Sophomore Noah Smith-Trondle (Hartwell, OH / Walnut Hills) and first year Taban Kahre (Carmel, IN / Park Tudor) each recorded 14 assists in for the Saints.
• First year Blake Kibler (Blacklick, OH / Licking Heights) and first year Tanner Stinnett (Fairview Heights, IL / Belleville East) both tallied 8 digs to lead the defense.

 

Thomas More returns to action on Tuesday (January, 16th) when they host Central State at the Connor Convocation Center. Match is set to begin at 6:00 PM.
