Saints Sweep Central State Behind Albers' 10 Kills

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) – The Thomas More men's volleyball took on Central State on Tuesday night (Jan. 16). The Saints knocked off Central State in straight sets to move to 3-3 overall on the season.

 

Thomas More defeats Central State, 3-0.

• Thomas More took the opening set by a score of 25 to 17.
• The Saints took set two by a score of 25 to 21.
• Thomas More took set three and the match by a score of 25 to 21.

 

• Junior Ben Albers (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) led the Saints offense with a team high 10 kills in the match to go along with 8 digs and a service ace.
• Junior Caleb Lipscomb (Cincinnati, OH / Walnut Hills) recorded 9 kills, 5 digs and a team high 4 assisted blocks in the contest.
• Graduate student Conner Young (Springdale, OH / Princeton) recorded a team high 29 assists in the contest along with 2 kills, 2 service aces, and 3 digs. 
• Sophomore Dominic Rossi (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler) recorded a team high 9 digs in the game to go with 4 kills, and an assisted block.

 

Thomas More returns to action on Friday (January, 19th) when they host Quincy at the Connor Convocation Center. Match is set to begin at 6:00 PM.
