(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) - The Thomas More football team fell to (RV) Tiffin University on Saturday (September, 30th) night by a final score of 47 to 9. The Saints fall to an overall record of 3-2 on the season and Great Midwest Athletic Conference record of 2-1.

- After forcing a three and out, the Saints put together a 6 play, 53 yard drive capped off by a 2 yard touchdown run by first year quarterback Chase Crone (Independence, KY / Simon Kenton).
- Saints hold Tiffin to a field goal on a goalline stand following a 79 yard drive to make it 7 to 3 Thomas More.
- Following a junior punter Elgin Phillips' punt that was downed at the Dragon 3 yardline, sophomore linebacker Japhia Kennedy (Lexington, KY / Frederick Douglass) and graduate student linebacker Del Thomas (Fairfield, OH / Fairfield) sacked the Tiffin quarterback for a safety to make it 9 to 3 Saints.

- Tiffin's offense got going in the second quarter with a 25 yard touchdown pass to take the lead 10 to 9.
- Tiffin would extend their lead with a 2 yard touchdown pass with 9 minutes to go in the half to make it 17 to 9.
- With 6 minutes to go in the half Tiffin scored on a 1 yard run to make it 23 to 9 following the missed PAT.
- Tiffin finds the end zone again on a 19 yard pass with 7 minutes to go in the third quarter to make it 30 to 9.
- Tiffin scored on a 4 yard run to close out the third quarter and making it a 37 to 9 game.

- Tiffin scored on a 1 yard run in to make it 44 to 9 with 8 minutes to go.
- With 3 minutes to go Tiffin makes a 19 yard field go to make it a 47 to 9 game.

- Chase Crone in his first career start recorded 82 passing yards along with a rushing touchdown.
- Sophomore tight end Mike Kirch (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) led the Saints in receiving with 75 yards, including a game high 30 yard catch.
- Redshirt sophomore running back Jaden Hall (Springfield, OH / Shawnee) led Thomas More in rushing with 43 yards.
- Junior defensive back Kolton Reeves (Paducah, KY / McCracken County) recorded a team high 9 tackles along with 90 total return yards on 5 returns.
- Junior defensive back Christian Rice (Louisville, KY / Eastern) recorded an interception along with 3 tackles in the contest.

The football team will return to action next Saturday (October, 7th) when they travel to Owensboro, KY to take on Kentucky Wesleyan. Kick-off is set for 7:00 P.M. ET.
