Women's Soccer Defeats Lake Erie for First DII & Conference Win

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University women's soccer team defeated Lake Erie on Thursday evening (September 28), 1-0, for the Saints first DivIsion II and Great Midwest Athletic Conference win. The Saints overall record improves to 1-5-2 and 1-3-1.

  • In the 25th minute, graduate student Ryann Meddings (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield) crossed a ball down field to senior Ainsley Clark (Oxford, Ohio/Talawanda) who one touched passed the ball at the six to first year Andela Popovic (Belgrade, Serbia Belgrade High School) to find the back of the net (1-0).
  • Graduate Student Sydney Rhodes (Lebanon, Ohio/Kings) had four shots with one on goal.
  • Ryann Meddings tallied one assist and one shot on goal.
  • Ainsley Clark had one assist.
