  • The Saints would get the ball at the 50-yard line to start their next drive and would need 11 plays to find the end zone on a one-yard Jaden Hall rush to give the Saints a 13-10 lead just before the end of the first quarter.
  • On the Saints second drive in the second quarter, they used big plays of 22 and 19 yards to take them from their own 20-yard line to the Walsh end zone. Rae'Von Vaden (Louisville, KY / Marion C. Moore) found Mike Kirch (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) for 21 yards for the score before a failed two-point conversion kept the score at 19-10.
  • A big 33-yard punt return from Freddie Johnson (Cincinnati, OH / Colerain) on the ensuing Cavaliers drive brought the Saints to the Walsh 33-yard line.
  • 10 plays later and Thomas More was in the end zone once again after a one-yard rush by Vaden to make the sore 26-10 just before the half.
