Saints Score 18 Goals in a Victory Over Franklin

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The women's lacrosse team at Thomas More defeated the Franklin Grizzlies on Saturday (March, 25th) afternoon by a score of 18 to 8. The Saints improve their overall record to 3-7 on the season. Sophomore Gracey Robinson (Lebanon, Ohio / Lebanon) broke the single game record for Points and Assists. Junior Kendra Yurt (Louisville, Ky. / Mercy) also set the record for draw controls in a game in program history.

How they scored

  • First year Meg Pierani (Bright, Ind. / Mercy McAuley) got the Saints started with an unassisted goal to give them the early lead. (1-0)
  • Gracey Robinson followed 30 seconds later with an unassisted goal to make it a two goal game. (2-0)
  • Franklin answered with a goal to cut into the Saint lead. (2-1)
  • First year Sarah Metz (Middletown, Ohio / Little Miami) scored on an assist from Gracey Robinson to put the Saint lead back to two. (3-1)
  • Franklin scored 3 straight goals to take the lead. (3-4)
  • Kendra Yurt scored an unassisted goal to tie it up. (4-4)
