Saints Fall to #9 Aquinas, 22 to 8

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The women's lacrosse team at Thomas More fell to Aquinas by a score of 22 to 8. The Saints drop to an overall record of 1-7 on the season. 

• Junior Mckenzie Mobley (Harrison, Ohio / Harrison) got the Saints on the scoreboard first with a goal off a first year Meg Pierani (Bright, Ind. / Mercy McAuley) assist. (1-0)
• Aquinas would go on to score 4 goals in a row to take a lead. (1-4)
• Junior Madi Carle (Cincinnati, Ohio / Mercy McAuley) scored on an assist from sophomore Gracey Robinson (Lebanon, Ohio / Lebanon). (2-4)
• Mckenzie Mobley makes it a one score game with a goal off another Meg Pierani assist. (3-4)
• Aquinas would score 6 straight goals to extend their lead. (3-10)
• Mckenzie Mobley finds the back of the net for her third goal of the contest. (4-10)
• Aquinas would answer to make it a 7 goal difference. (4-11)
• Junior Kendra Yurt (Louisville, Ky. / Mercy) scored in the final minutes of the first half off another Meg Pierani assist. (5-11)
• Aquinas opened the second half with 4 straight goals. (5-15)
• Kendra Yurt scored her second goal of the game off Meg Pierani's 4th assist. (6-15)
• Aquinas would answer with 2 more goals. (6-17)
• Madi Carle gets a pass from Gracey Robinson and scored to make it a 9 goal game. (7-17)
• Gracey Robinson followed with a goal of her own off an assist from sophomore Eva Kinwel (Arnhem, Netherlands / Beekdal Lyceum) (8-17)
• Aquinas would score 5 more goals to end the game. (8-22)

• Meg Pierani led the Saints offense with 4 points, all being from assists. 
• Mckenzie Mobley tallied the hat trick with 3 goals, to go along with 2 caused turnovers.
• Madi Carle had 2 goals to go along with a team high in ground balls with 6 and team high in caused turnovers with 3.
• Gracey Robinson tallied a goal and 2 assists in the contest. She also had 3 ground balls.
• Kendra Yurt found the goal twice and also had 2 ground balls.
• Eva Kinwel had an assist, 4 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers. 

Women's lacrosse return to action on Wednesday (March 22nd) when they host Mount St. Joseph at Republic Bank Field. Game set to begin at 7:00 PM ET.
