(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - It was a big night for Thomas More athletics, as the Saints debuted their newest sport on campus, Esports. They took on the Alice Lloyd College Eagles in League of Legends. The match was best two out of three, where the goal is to destroy the other team's towers and eventually, their Nexus.
Thomas More swept the Eagles 2-0 for their first win in program history. The Saints five-man team consisted of
Juan Pablo Villagrana Francisco,
Santiago Regueira,
Blayke Kremer,
Pancho Cuscuna, and
Manuel Zubiri.
The Saints will also be competing this semester in Rocket League and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with dates and times to be announced.
