(FINDLAY, OH) – The Thomas More women's volleyball team fell to the Findlay Oilers on Friday (October, 27th) night by a score of 3 sets to 1. The Saints move to 4-19 overall on the season and 2-10 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
- Findlay took the opening set 25 to 14.
- Thomas More evened the match by winning set two 25 to 22.
- The Oilers took set three 25 to 15.
- Findlay closed out the match with a set four win by a score of 25 to 18.
- Junior Jess Gearries (Avon, IN / Avon) led the Saints offensively with 12 kills in the match.
- First year setter Avery Brieske (Oak Creek, WI / Oak Creek) recorded 22 assists in the match, along with 3 digs and a service ace.
- Junior libero Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy / Barletti Ovada) tallied 17 digs in the match which led the Saints. She also had a service ace and six assists.
- Junior Ruthie Neu (Greenwood, IN / Roncalli) recorded 13 digs in the match.
Thomas More will be back in action on Saturday night (October, 28th) when they travel to Tiffin, Ohio to take on the Tiffin Dragons. That match is scheduled to start at 5:00 PM.
