Women's Soccer Win Third Straight

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's soccer team defeated Tiffin on Wednesday (Oct 18), 3-0. The Saints overall record improves to 5-7-2 and 4-5-1 in conference.

• In the 15th minute of the game, first year Andela Popovic (Belgrade, Serbia/Belgrade High School) found the back of the net off of a free kick from the 20-yard line to put the Saints on the board 1-0.
• Graduate student Sydney Rhodes (Lebanon, Ohio/Kings) scored off a crossed ball from first year Addy Arnult (Guilford, IN/East Central High School) to extend the lead to 2-0 in the 24th minute.
• Sophomore Emma Fluit (Komoka, Ontario/Medway) would make a run down field and make a beautiful cross to Sydney Rhodes who would make a touch to Andela Popovic for a goal (3-0) in the 63rd minute.

• Andela Popovic recorded two goals with four total shots.
• Sydney Rhodes had eight shots with six on goal. She tallied one goal and one assist.
• Addy Arnult and Emma Fluit both had one assist.
• Junior Amy Bos (Nijmegen, Netherlands/Mondial College Nijmegen) had three shots.
• Senior Avery Seig (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) took one shot.
• Sophomore Lauren Welsh (Ballyclare, Northern Ireland/Ballyclare) recorded six saves.

The Saints return to action on Saturday (Oct 21) for their final home match of the season against Kentucky Wesleyan on Senior Night at 5:00 PM ET on Republic Bank Field.
