#1 Women's Basketball Defeats Lindsey Wilson Behind Barth's 18 Points

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-#1 Thomas More University women's basketball team defeated Lindsey Wilson on Thursday evening (January 26th), 57-51. The Saints overall record improves to 22-0 and 16-0 in conference. 

• Senior Zoie Barth (Fort Thomas, Ky. / Highlands) got the Saints started with a three pointer off an assist from junior Rachel Martin (Cincinnati, Ohio / Summit Country Day).
• Zoie Barth hits her second three pointer off the evening off an assist from senior Emily Simon (Hilliard, Ohio / Hilliard Davidson) to give Thomas More an early 6-0 lead.
• Some free throws from first year Rylee Turner (Newport, Ky. / Newport Central Catholic) gave Thomas More a 9 point lead midway through the quarter.
• Senior Courtney Hurst (Burlington, Ky. / Conner) makes a layup off an assist from Zoie Barth to make it 11 to 2 Thomas More.
• Junior Kelly Brenner (Cincinnati, Ohio / Roger Bacon) knocks down a three pointer off an assist from junior Alex Smith (Cincinnati, Ohio / Mercy McAuley) to push the lead to 12.
• A jumper from junior Maggie Jones (Piner, Ky. / Simon Kenton) made the score 16 to 6 Thomas More after the first quarter.
• Alex Smith made a layup to open the second quarter for the Saints.
• A few free throws from Zoie Barth pushes the Saints lead back to 7.
• Emily Simon converts a pair of free throws to make the score 23 to 14 Thomas More.
• Maggie Jones knocks down a three pointer off an assist from Zoie Barth to take the Saints lead back to 12.
