(WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.)- Thomas More University women's volleyball team defeated Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday afternoon (September 24) 3-0. The Saints overall recorded improves to 10-6 overall and 4-0 in conference.
The Saints defeated Cumberlands by the scores 25-23, 25-19, and 30-28.
- Sophomore Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy/Barletti Ovada) recorded a team high of 23 digs.
- Sophomore Ruthie Neu (Greenwood, Ind./Roncalli) followed with 15 digs.
- Sophomore Sam McClanahan (Georgetown, Ky./Georgetown) tallied 33 assists, eight digs, four kills, and five blocks.
- First year Ebony Gomez (Venezuela/Colegio Salesiano San Luis) led the Saints with 13 kills.
- Senior Sawyer Lorentz (Dover, Ohio/Dover) had five blocks and four kills.
The Saints return to the court Tuesday (September 27) against MSJ at home in the Connor Convocation Center at 7:00 pm ET.
