Mohs Game Winner Pushes The Saints Past Siena Heights

(Crestview Hills, KY) – The Thomas More University women's soccer team earned their second win of the season after a hard-fought 2-1 victory in their first game of the inaugural Saints Classic. They move to 2-0-1 on the season.

How They Scored
  • Isabel Remar got on the board first for Siena Heights in the 18th minute, with an assist from Emily Broman.
  • The Saints answered right back in the 19th minute on an Ainsley Clark unassisted strike to tie the game at 1-1.
  • Neither team could score the go-ahead goal, despite several opportunities, before first year Olivia Mohs found the back of the net in the 74th minute after a beautiful assist from Ryann Meddings. This is Mohs first collegiate goal.

  • Thomas More outshot Siena Heights 13-6 with both teams having four shots on goal.
  • Meddings now has three assists this season for the Saints.
  • Lauren Welsh made three saves in the game for Thomas More.

Thomas More returns to Republic Bank Field on Sunday afternoon when they host the Madonna University Crusaders at 12:00 p.m. Last season on the road, the Saints fell to the Crusaders 2-0.
