Box Score 2 Crestview Hills, Ky. - The men's volleyball program at Thomas More earned a split on Wednesday, March 9 as they fell in five to Cornerstone but rebounded for a dominant win over Rio in three. With the split the Saints move to 5-13 on the season.
Game one: Cornerstone wins 3-2.
- Cornerstone won the first two sets and the last set by scores of 25-23, 25-16, and 15-12.
- Thomas More won sets three and four by scores of 25-20 and 25-21.
- Senior Brock Cassin (Louisville, Ky./Du pont Manual) led the team in kills with 14.
- Senior Mason Cobler (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville) registered 10 kills, 21 assists, and 12 digs in the effort.
- Junior Conner Young (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) co-led the team in assists with 21 and collected three service aces.
- Junior Jonathan Litzler (Edgewood, Ky./St. Henry) and Q Roberts (Los Angeles, Calif. / Village Christian) both led the team in digs with 14 each.
Game two: Thomas More defeats Rio Grande 3-0 on senior night.
- Cobler and Cassin once again led the team in kills with six apiece.
- Cobler and fellow senior Tanner Miller (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) led the team in assists with 12 and 10 respectively.
- Young and Litzler led in digs with seven and nine.
- Cobler collected six service aces in the three sets played.
- Miller collected five total blocks in the win.
Men's volleyball returns to the court on Sunday, March 13 when they play host to Carlow in the Connor Convocation Center at 12 p.m. ET.
