Box Score 2 (RIO GRANDE, Ohio/BLUEFIELD, Va.)-Thomas More University men's volleyball team broke even this weekend with 3-1 win over Rio Grande and loss to Bluefield 0-3 on Friday (Feb. 18) and Saturday (Feb. 19). The Saints overall record is 2-7 and 1-5 in the conference.
Game 1: Thomas More 3-1 over Rio Grande
- The Saints defeated Rio Grande 3-1 with the score of 25-19, 25-20, 24-26, and 25-19.
Game 2: Bluefield 3-0 over Thomas More
- The Saints fell to Bluefield with the scores of 25-27, 22-25, and 23-25.
Game 1:
- Sophomore Q Roberts (Los Angeles, Calif./Village Christian) led the Saints with 12 kills and eight digs.
- Sophomore Jackson Sinnard (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) followed with 10 kills and three solo blocks.
- Senior Tanner Miller (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) led the Saints with 23 assists and had seven kills.
- Senior Mason Cobler (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville South) followed with 16 assists.
- Junior Jonathan Litzler (Edgewood, Ky./St. Henry) led the team defensively with 12 digs.
Game 2:
- First year Ben Albers (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) led the team with eight kills and five total blocks.
- Mason Cobler led the Saints with 11 assists and had six kills.
- Jonathan Litzler led the team defensively with 13 digs.
The Saints return to the court to take on Midway on Tuesday (Feb. 22) at 7:00 pm ET in the Connor Convocation Center.
