Women's Soccer Win Big Over Freed Hardeman

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY.)-Thomas More University women's soccer team defeated Freed Hardeman on Saturday afternoon (October 8) 5-0. The Saints overall record improves to 9-2-2 and 4-2 in the conference.How they scored
  • Junior transfer Sterre Harsveld van der Veen (Utrecht, Netherlands/USG)finished the ball into the back of the net in the first five minutes of the game off a double assist cross from junior Sydney Rhodes (South Lebanon, Ohio/Lebanon) and junior Lindsay Ballinger (Cincinnati, Ohio/Roger Bacon) to put the Saints on the board 1-0.
  • With two minutes to play in the first half, junior Ainsley Clark (Oxford, Ohio/Talawanda) scored on a break away off a double pass from sophomore Eva Kinwel and junior Brooke Breaker (Ross, Ohio/Ross) to put the Saints up 2-0.
  • Junior Ryann Meddings (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield) would start the second half off with a goal off a penalty kick to extend the Saints lead to 3-0.
  • In the 47th minute, first year Lauren Laake (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) found the back of the net off a cross from Rhodes to make it a 4-0 game. 
  • First year Chloe Meyer (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) headed the ball into the net for her first collegiate goal off a long ball from Meddings with 16 minutes to play in the game (5-0).
