Big Day From Meddings and Rhodes to Help Women's Soccer Close Out Regular Season with a Win Over Pikeville on Senior Day

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University women's soccer team defeated Pikeville on Saturday afternoon (October 22), 4-0. The Saints overall record improved to 10-5-2 and 5-5 in conference.

• Junior Sydney Rhodes (South Lebanon, Ohio/Kings) scored in the 16th minute off a corner kick from junior Ryann Meddings (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield) to put the Saints on the board 1-0.
• With 29 minutes to play, Meddings curved a free kick from the 20 yard line into the upper left 90 to extend the Saints lead to 2-0.
• Meddings would score again in the 70th minute off a penalty kick to make it a 3-0 game. 
• Rhodes found the back of the net that started from a cross from junior transfer Sterre Harsveld van der Veen (Utrecht, Netherlands/USG) and a quick pass from junior Ainsley Clark (Oxford, Ohio/Talawanda) in the 73rd minute (4-0).

• Rhodes tallied two shots on goal which both found the back of the net. 
• Meddings tallied three shots with two of them being a goal and had one assist.
• Clark had an assist and two shots with one on goal.
• Harsveld van der Veen had four shots with one on goal and had an assist. 
• First year Lauren Laake (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) tallied four shots with two on goal.
• First year Olivia Mohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) had two shots with one on goal. 
• First year Emilia Geren (Mason, Ohio/Mason) recorded two shots on goal. 
• Sophomore Marte Enger (Oppegaard, Norway/Roald Amundsen) had four shots with two on goal.
• First year Emma Fluit (Komoka, Ontario/Medway) tallied one shot. 
• Senior Kayla Nichols (Batavia, Ohio/Clermont Northeastern) had one shot. 

The Saints return to action on November 1 for the Opening Round of the Mid-South Conference tournament against TBD at 7:30 pm ET.
