Men's Soccer Closes Out Season to Life in the Opening Round of the MSC Tournament

(MARIETTA, Ga.)-Thomas More University men's soccer team closed out their season on Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 2) falling to Life, 5-2. The Saints finish with an overall season record of 5-10-2 and 3-8 in the conference.

• 12 minutes into the game, junior Thomas Wolfe (Marysville, Ohio / Marysville) found the back of the net to give the Saints the go ahead lead (1-0).
• The Running Eagles fought back and scored of a free kick to tie things up at 1-1 four minutes later.
• In the 53rd minute, senior Griffin Garrison (Cincinnati, Ohio / McNicholas) scored, assisted by first-year Flo Meyer (Mulheim, Germany / Luisenschule) to give the Saints back the lead (2-1).
• Life's Luciano Diaz scored to tie things back up again, assisted by Bart Kooistra in the 65th minute (2-2).
• Life's Stan Vandierendonck would score off a penalty kick in the 67th minute to giving the Running Eagles the lead for the first time (2-3).
• Life would score again in the 69th minute by Jinwoo Kang, assisted by Ahmad Hadi Taha to make it a 2-4 game.
• Thomas More would score on their own goal to finalize the score at 2-5.

• Wolfe's all five shots were on goal and one of them found the back of the net.
• Garrison recorded three shots with two being on goal and scored one of them.
• Meyer tallied four shots and had three of them on goal, and also had one assist.
• Sophomore Dan Hill (Tewkesbury, England / Hartpury) had one shot on goal.
• Junior Charlie Allan (Cardiff, Wales / Cardiff), sophomore Ben Oliver (Eckington,England / Hartpury College), first-year Finn Battenstein (Ratingen, Germany / Martin Luther King Gesamtschule), and first year Blake Ivey (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) all had one shot. 
• Junior George Tidswell (Skipton, England / South Craven School) made two saves.
