Football Falls to #1 Lindsey Wilson

Crestview Hills, Ky. - The football program at Thomas More fell to top ranked Lindsey Wilson by a score of 47-0. With the loss the Saints fall to 2-3 on the season and 1-1 in Mid-South Conference play.

  • Lindsey Wilson's quarterback Cameron Dukes found the endzone on a three yard run, Ian Sauter converted the extra point to make the score 7-0.

  • Sauter would make a 25 yard field goal to extend the Blue Raiders lead to 10-0.
  • Dukes would find Noel Patterson on a 41 yard strike to grow the lead to 16-0 and 17-0 after the extra point from Sauter.
  • Dukes launched a 70 yard bomb with 1:16 left in the half growing the lead to 24-0 after the extra point.

  • Jaylen Boyd returned the opening kick for a touchdown for the Blue Raiders to give them a 31-0 lead.
  • Lindsey Wilson's Darius Clark rushed in from ten yards out to make the lead 38-0.
  • The Blue Raiders forced a safety to take a 40-0 lead.

  • Junior wideout Craig Wills Jr. (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle) was the leading receiver for the Saints catching four passes for 93 yards.
  • Punter Elgin Phillips (Hamilton, Ohio / Fairfield) punted the ball seven times averaging 48 yards per kick and had a 71 yarder, his furthest of his early Thomas More career.
  • Senior linebacker Peyton Van Horn (Hebron, Ky./Conner) led the team in tackles with eight solo and six assisted totaling 14.
  • Sophomore safety Colton Sandhas (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) was second on the team in tackles with 11 total.

The football team will return to the field next weekend October 16, when they play host to the University of the Cumberlands Patriots on Republic Bank Field, kickoff is set for 1:30 P.M. ET.
