Box Score (PORSTMOUTH, Ohio)-Thomas More University women's volleyball team defeated Shawnee State 3-1 on Saturday afternoon (October 16). The Saints overall record improves to 21-3 and 9-2 in the conference.
The Saints won with the scores of 25-23, 25-23, 19-25, and 25-23.
- Senior outside hitter Emily Mohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) passed the All-Time School Record for kills today, which had not been broken since 1992-95 by Chris Cullinane (1,510). Mohs led the Saints in kills with 26 and three blocks. She also had nine digs.
- First-year defensive specialist Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy / Barletti Ovada) recorded 20 digs to lead the Saints defensively.
- Senior Lizzie Schoenfeld (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) and first-year Sam McClanahan (Georgetown, Ky. / Scott County) both tallied 18 assists.
- Junior Sawyer Lorentz (Dover, Ohio/Dover) also had three total blocks to lead the team with Mohs.
The Saints return to the court on Monday (October 18) in the Connor Convocation Center at 7:00 pm to face the Georgetown Tigers.
