Box Score (Crestview Hills, Ky.) - Thomas More Men's basketball defeated Mid-South opponent Campbellsville on Thursday (January 7) by a score of 82-78. With the win the Saints move to 4-3 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
- Redshirt Junior Ryan Batte (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) would start the scoring for Thomas More, giving them a 2-0 advantage at the 18:59 mark in the first.
- Senior Luke Rudy (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) made a three-pointer with 15:32 remaining in the first half to give TMU back the lead at 12-11.
- Senior Garren Bertsch (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) pushed the lead to 11 with a three off an assist from junior Logan Swackhammer (Chillicothe, Ohio/Unioto) with 8:30 remaining in the half.
- Sophomore Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) gave the Saints the biggest lead of the half at 13 with a layup, ending the half with Thomas More leading 48-35.
- Bertsch started the second half scoring with a layup from a Jolly pass.
- Senior Keegan Saben (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) would make one of his two three-pointers with 12:59 remaining in the second half to slow the Tigers run giving TMU a 62-55 lead.
- Batte pushed the lead back to 10 with a shot from the block with 8:30 left in the second.
- Swackhammer made a three-pointer with 2:40 remaining in the game that ultimately led to the Saints winning 82-78.
- Batte led all scorers with 30 points, Bertsch had 14 points.
- Jolly scored 18 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

The men's basketball team will be back in action this Saturday (January 9) where they will take on #6 ranked Georgetown in the Connor Convocation Center with tip-off set for 6:30 p.m. ET.
