Men's Basketball Take their Fourth Loss of the Season to Cumberland (Tenn.), 61-57

(Crestview Hills, Ky.)- Thomas More men's basketball team takes their fourth loss of the season to Cumberland University (Tenn.), 61-57. Their overall record goes to 9-4 and 7-4 in the conference.

  • Redshirt Junior Ryan Batte (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) started things off for the Saints, making a field-goal with 19:05 on the clock. This put the Saints up 2-0.
  • Batte led the team with nine points in the first half and had one rebound and one assist.
  • Senior Luke Rudy (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) followed with six points, two rebounds and one assist.
  • Junior Logan Swackhammer (Chillicothe, Ohio/Unioto) led the team with five rebounds and had four points.
  • With 7:36 to play, the Saints took a ten-point lead with Batte making a field-goals to put them up 21-11.

  • Swackhammer tied the game up for the Saints 55-55 by making a field goal.
  • With 27 seconds left on the clock, Ryan Batte cut the lead to two, making it 57-55. Ultimately, the Saints came up short with a 61-57 loss.
  • Thomas More was 34.4% (11/32) from the field and 22.2% (2/9) from the three-point line.
