Box Score (Columbia, Ky.) – The men's basketball Program at Thomas More Defeated Lindsey Wilson on Monday (January 9) by a score of 67-51. With the win TMU improve to 6-3 overall and 4-3 in conference play.
- Sophomore Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) opened up the scoring for Thomas More with a three-pointer to make the score 5-3 in favor of Lindsey.
- Senior Garren Bertsch (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) made a three-pointer with 13:46 remaining in the first half to bring TMU to within 1 at 14-13.
- Jolly scored 6 straight points to give the Saints their first lead of the night at 19-16 with 9:50 remaining in the half.
- Senior Keegan Saben (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) scored two points via free throws to end the scoring in the first for Thomas More which saw Lindsey on top 30-23 at half.
- Bertsch kicked off the scoring in the second half for TMU draining a three, making the score 27-32 with 19:20 remaining in the second half.
- Redshirt junior Ryan Batte (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) made a hook shot in the paint to give the Saints their first lead of the second half at 35-33.
- Senior Luke Rudy (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) scored a three to extend Thomas More's lead to 49-40 with 10:03 remaining in the game.
- Jolly finished the scoring for TMU with a jump shot from the block to make the final score 67-51.
- Bertsch led the game in scoring with 21.
- Batte scored 19 points and grabbed 9 boards and Jolly scored 18 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.
- Out rebounded Lindsey 36-26.
- Junior Logan Swackhammer (Chillicothe, Ohio/Unioto) led the game in assists with 6.
Thomas More men's basketball will be back in action on Thursday, January 14 where they will travel to Freed Hardeman with tip-off set for 9 p.m. ET.
