Box Score 2 (LAURINBURG, N.C.) — The Thomas More University men's volleyball team was swept in two matches today (February 15, 2020) at St. Andrews University, falling 3-0 to the Knights in the evening after losing 3-0 to Reinhardt University earlier in the day.
The Saints fell to 4-6 overall and 1-3 in Mid-South Conference play with the two defeats.
REINHARDT MATCH
- Thomas More lost by the scores of 25-19, 25-19, and 25-17.
- Junior Mason Cobler (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville South) tied for the team lead with nine kills.
- Senior outside hitter Ryan Hans (Fort Thomas, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) also finished with nine kills.
- First-year defensive specialist Jonathan Litzler (Edgewood, Ky./St. Henry) had seven digs.
- Sophomore setter Tanner Miller (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) had 22 assists and five digs.
- First-year outside hitter Cameron Ware (Pearland, Texas/Turner) finished with four kills and five digs.
ST. ANDREWS MATCH
- Thomas More was defeated by the scores of 25-15, 25-10, and 25-16.
- Cobler had a team-high six kills.
- Miller had 15 assists and two digs.
- Litzler led the Saints with six digs.
- Chris Carlson (Manila, Philippines/Brent International School) finished with five kills and two digs.
- Thomas More will host Mount St. Joseph for a nonconference match on Tuesday night (Feburary 18) at the Connor Convocation Center.
