Thomas More Falls to No. 9 Lindsey Wilson on Homecoming at BB&T Field

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University football team fell, 55-21, to ninth-ranked Lindsey Wilson College today (Saturday, October 19, 2019) in a Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division game at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

  • The Blue Raiders took a 14-0 lead as they scored with 12:13 and 9:06 to play in the opening quarter.
  • Thomas More cut the lead to 14-7 with 1:00 to play in the quarter when senior quarterback Justin Post (Macedonia, Ohio/Nordonia) connected on a 39-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Johnny McNally (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) and sophomore kicker Alexander Haley (Lebanon, Ohio/Lebanon) added the point-after-attempt.
  • Lindsey Wilson returned the ensuing kickoff back for a touchdown to make the score 20-7.

  • LWC scored with 6:49 to extend the lead to 27-7 with 6:49 to play in the quarter.
  • Sophomore tight end Mason Kramer (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) scored on a four-yard pass from Post and Haley added the PAT to make the score 20-14 with 1:27 to play in the quarter.
  • The Blue Raiders scored with 31-seconds to play in the first half to make the score 34-14 at halftime.

  • Senior wide receiver/return specialist Da'marco Canty (Bogart, Ga./North Oconee) returned a punt 54-yards for a touchdown and Haley added the PAT to cut the score to 34-21 with 12:23 to play in the quarter.

  • Lindsey Wilson scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter for the final score of 55-21.

  • Thomas More falls to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the Mid-South Bluegrass Division.
  • Lindsey Wilson improves to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in conference.
  • Post was 21-of-35 passing for 183 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing the ball four times for 30 yards.
  • Junior running back Monalo Caldwell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) carried the ball 19 times for 94 yards.
  • Junior running back Justin Durham (Elsmere, Ky./Lloyd Memorial) carried the ball 11 times for 70 yards.
  • Senior wide receiver Mitchell Hogue (Harrison, Ohio/Harrison) had eight catches for 54 yards.
  • McNally finished the game with three catches for 64 yard and a touchdown.
  • Sophomore linebacker Peyton Van Horn (Hebron, Ky./Conner) had eight tackles (three solo/five assisted), including one tackle for a loss.
  • Senior defensive back Thomas Williams (Oregonia, Ohio/Clinton Massie) had five tackles (four solo/one assisted).
  • Junior linebacker Ryan Stofko (Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller) had five tackles (four solo/one assisted), including one sack.
  • First-year defensive back Isaiah Hendley (Tallahassee, Fla./Lincoln) had five tackles (three solo/two assisted).

  • Thomas More returns to the road next Saturday (September , 26) to play Georgetown (Ky.) College at 1:30 p.m. at Toyota Stadium.
