Box Score (BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – The Thomas More women's volleyball kept their undefeated conference streak alive today as they took down Bethany, 3-0, with scores of 25-20, 27-25, 25-19. With the win, the Saints improve to 14-4 overall and 8-0 in the PAC. With the loss, the Bison fall to 12-7 overall and 5-2 in the PAC.
In the first set, the Saints and Bison were tied at 5-5, but Thomas More went on a 7-1 point run, which gave them the lead 12-6. The run was started by a block from Carlee Lambert and Rana Cousin. It continued with multiple kills from Cousin, Lambert, Alli Borders, and Madison Krumpelman. The Saints won the first set 25-20.
In the second set, the Saints were down 13-8 before they started making their comeback three points at a time. Rachel Bronner tied the game up 23-23 on a service ace. Bethany scored but Borders had an answer with a kill to tie it back up 24-24. The Bison scored again, then the Saints took advantage of Bethany's service error and went on to win the match 27-25.
In the third, and final, set, Thomas More went up early 2-7. They kept their lead most of the match, only allowing a few sparks from the Bison side, winning 25-19.
Borders ended the match with 13 kills and seven digs. Bronner recorded 20 digs and four assists. Jenna Fessler had five kills, 38 assists, and 11 digs.
The Saints have back-to-back matches today, taking on Geneva at 3:00PM
