Box Score (BETHANY, W.Va.) – The Thomas More College volleyball fell, 3-1, to Bethany College today (Saturday, October 22, 2016) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at Hummel Field House in Bethany, West Virginia. The Bison won the match by the scores of 25-21, 27-25, 12-25 and 25-22.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 16-9 overall and 13-2 in the PAC. With the win, the Bison improve to 20-11 overall and 13-2 in the PAC.
Senior right side Paige Noday (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas) led four Saints with double-digit kills with 17. Senior outside hitter Marisa Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) added 13, first-year outside hitter Madison Krumpelman (Crestview Hills, Ky./Holy Cross) finished with 11 and senior middle hitter Alexis Bierbaum (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) had 10. First-year setter Alli Borders (Florence, Ky./Boone County) led the team in assists with 49.
On the defensive side of the net Thomas More had four players with double-digit digs led by junior defensive specialist Rachel Bronner (Reading, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) with 21. Meyer added 14, while Borders and sophomore defensive specialist Leanne Dant (Louisville, Ky./Bethlehem) each finished with 12.
The Saints return to action tomorrow as they will play Chatham University at 1 p.m. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
