Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The eighth-ranked Thomas More College women's soccer team extended its shutout streak to six matches today (Wednesday, September 17, 2014) as it defeated traditional rival Hanover College, 2-0, in non-conference match at The Bank of Kentucky Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
With the win, the Saints remain undefeated at 7-0 and with the loss, the Panthers fall to 4-3.
Junior forward Olivia Huber (Woodlawn, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) scored both goals for the Saints as she scored unassisted at the 24:53 mark and then found the back of the next off an assist from freshman forward Abby Stadtmiller (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) at the 33:58 mark.
Sophomore goalkeeper Megan Barton (Florence, Ky./Villa Madonna) recorded her third shutout of the season as she played all 90 minutes in goal and had four saves.
Thomas More out-shot the Panthers, 15-8, including 6-4 on-goal and won the battle of corner kicks, 4-2.
The Saints return to action on Saturday (September 20) when they travel to Bluffton, Ohio to play Bluffton University at 12 p.m.
