Saints and Panthers Tie to End Regular Season Play

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's soccer team tied Kentucky Wesleyan on Tuesday evening (Nov 4), 3-3. The Saints finish their regular season with an overall record of 7-9-2 and 6-6-2 in conference.

• Senior Lauren Laake (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mt. Notre Dame) scored off an in and out goal to put the Saints on the board 1-0 with 12:11 on the clock. 
• Kentucky Wesleyan scored in the 13th minute to tie things up at 1-1.
• With 25 minute on the clock, first year Alexis Harden (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) found the back of the net to put the Saints up 2-1.
• Sophomore Ivy Hoffman (Covington, Ky./Holy Cross) extended the Saints lead in the 37th minute to make it a 3-1 game.
• Kentucky Wesleyan scored in the 55th minute to make it a 3-2 game. 
• Kentucky Wesleyan scored in the 17th minute to tie things up at 3-3.

• Lauren Laake had two shots with one on goal finding the back of the net. 
• Alexis Harden had one shot that scored for a goal.
• Ivy Hoffman had five shots with three on goal and one found the back of the net. 
• Sophomore Josie Gruber (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville North) tallied five shots.
• Senior Angelina Finnerty (Stafford, VA, Mountain View) recorded one shot one goal.
• Sophomore Haley Steffe (Bellbrook, Ohio/Bellbrook) had one shot.
• Senior Olivia Mohs (Cincinanati, Ohio/Seton) had one shot.
• Senior Lauren Welsh (Ballyclare, Northern Ireland/Ballyclare) recorded nine saves and allowed three goals.

The Saints return Saturday (Nov 8) in the quarterfinals of G-MAC tournament against TBD.
