Box Score (BETHANY, W.Va.) - The Thomas More College volleyball team fell, 3-0, to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) leading Bethany College tonight (Thursday, October 31, 2013) at Hummel Field House in Bethany, West Virginia. Bethany won the match by the scores of 25-12, 26-24 and 25-11.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 20-5 overall and 14-3 in the PAC. With the win, the Saints improve to 27-8 overall and 17-0 in the PAC.
The Saints were led by junior outside hitter Holly Bronner (Reading, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame), who hit .389 with nine kills and nine assists. Freshman middle hitter Marisa Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) added nine kills, while sophomore setter Becca Kuhn (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) finished with a team-high 10 assists.
Junior defensive specialist Kelsey Castiglioni (Harrison Township, Mich./L'Anse Creuse) led the defense with 12 digs, while senior middle hitter Tyler Deaton (Lexington, Ky./Lexington Catholic) and junior outside hitter Felicity Britt (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) each finished with four total blocks.
The Saints will close out the regular season on Saturday (November 2) when they host Westminster College at 2 p.m. on Senior Day at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
